General Questions/New to Joomla! 3.x • Re: Copying Joomla!site to another domain on the same server

Another question: have tried Kickstart, but couldn't get it to extract ... keeps throwing wobblies about initial directories and such... Is it feasibly to simply FTP the whole (test) site to a NAS and then FTP it back to the permanent domain/server? Will that work? Again, MySQL infos are identical, so would I need to change any other data?
