General Questions/New to Joomla! 3.x • How to Disable Menu Items

I purchased a template. There are menu items supplied with the template that I would like to disable.



If I go into Template Manager/Styles , select the template, go to the "Menu Assignments" Menu



I see a list of all items in the menus, plus a Toggle Selection Option. Refer to the 1st photo.



When I hit Toggle Selection, all the menu items get a check mark.



So, what is going on here? And what would be the approach to disable menus and disable selected menu items?



In the 2nd photo, i'd like to get rid of the Short Code Menu. What would be the method?
