Migrating and Upgrading to Joomla! 3.x • Re: using an old ja_purity template with joomla 3.x

For people like me who really don't know anything about tinkering with templates to achieve a given style, is there a relatively simple way to 'adapt the layout, blocks and modules position' to exactly match my current template so that my site won't change at all? Is that a question for here or for the joomla art forum?
