Extensions for Joomla! 3.x • JEvents - use an alternate template?

I've developed a 2-part site for a client. The entry page/site is for their clients; the other part is for their supporters. The supporters section (category) uses a different color scheme so it's easy to distinguish that they are in that section.

Using Joomla 3.x with Joomlashine Epic Pro 6.x template.

I've handled switching the template color via Menu Assignment in my template.

JEvents is part of the supporters section. The problem I'm running in to is that when I view an event detail, full year view, etc. (anything that is a JEvent "content" page), it reverts to the "client" template. That's because there is no menu item set for the JEvent pages. While I could add (hidden) menu items for things like List by Week, List by Year, etc., it would be far too tedious to add a menu item for each Event Detail in order to assign it to the supporters template.

What I'd like to do is find a way to assign ALL JEvents pages to the supporters template. And I need to do it in such as way that future updates to Joomla, JEvents, or the template will not cause disruptions.

Live site: http://myavpc.com Click on the Supporters feet in the right column (green supporters template). Then click on an Event or Full Calendar to see how it reverts to the brown client template. I want it to stay green. :)

If there is an easier way to assign an entire category, with all future articles, sub-categories, etc. to an alternate template, that would be great to know, too. (I've observed that currently I have to go in and add each new article to the list of items assigned to the template.)

Thanks for any recommendations.
