Administration 1.5 • Restore site from backup without database?

I have made a website which is live and working fine using joomla 2.5 and the Metropolis template however I don't seem to have a database with it - have looked in PHP My Admin - I have made a backup through Cpanel but wondered why there was no database and how would I restore the site if it was hacked or deleted etc? Please and thanks!
