Search Engine Optimization (Joomla! SEO) in Joomla! 2.5 • robots.txt file problem

Hi



I discovered 2 weeks ago that my robot.txt had suddenly begun blocking access to our main homepage, it had changed to this:



User-agent: *

Disallow: /



I really don't know how this happened, but it happened just after an update of Joomla to latest version by my hosting company.



I have changed it back to this:



User-agent: *

Disallow: /administrator/

Disallow: /cache/

Disallow: /cli/

Disallow: /components/

Disallow: /images/

Disallow: /includes/

Disallow: /installation/

Disallow: /language/

Disallow: /libraries/

Disallow: /logs/

Disallow: /media/

Disallow: /modules/

Disallow: /plugins/

Disallow: /templates/

Disallow: /tmp/



but my issue is that Google is still using the old robots file and our pages are all still disallowing googlebot, creating issues for us with search etc. even thought the new robots.txt file has been up for almost 2 weeks now.



I have re-submitted URL, disabled cache on the site, uploaded a new sitemap to webmaster tools, all to no avail, it has been 2 weeks and I was wondering if anyone else has had the same issue and how they sorted it out???
