Hi folks,
I tried to switch a domain from one joomla installation to another (both installations in different sub-directories on the same server). For testing purpose I created the following sub-domain structure:
At this moment my-domain.com is pointing to the base directory of the joomla 2.5 installation and everything works well.
As soon as I change the base directory of my-domain.com from the joomla 2.5 to the joomla 3.3 installation (using parallels) and try to access the domain via http://mydomain.com , I can not access the second language any more (error 404 - Page not found). The first language works fine. When trying to access the backend through http://ift.tt/1tQyNO5, it jumps back to http://ift.tt/1pkxuY8.
Accessing the same platform via the sub-directory http://ift.tt/1pkxuYa everything continuous fine and I can access the content of both languages.
No .htaccess is being used.
I do not understand why this happens, and how I could solve this issue.
Any bright idea is welcome. Thanks for your attention
