General Questions/New to Joomla! 3.x • How to list only some categories when entering new articles?

This is my problem: I have 2 authors and I have 2 categories, which each of them have subcategories. When each of the authors logs in and enter a new article, the list of categories should list only 1 category with its subcategories for each author. is this possible?



For example:

1. Author1 logs in

2. Try to create a new article.

3. In Publishing, in Category field the drop-down list should list for this author only one category:

- Category1

-- Subcategory1A

-- Subcategory1B



Then when Author2 logs in:

1. Try to create a new article.

2. In Publishing, in Category field the drop-down list should list for this author the other category, but only one:

- Category2

-- Subcategory2A

-- Subcategory2B



All these categories at the same time should have Public access. Does anybody know if this possible?.



I appreciate any pointers or any help how to accomplish this.
