I would suggest creating a new menu. Call it hidden or something then create a menu item from jsitemap and put link in the footer. Depending on your template you may have to figure out the placement.
You could use the copyright module and use a language override to put whatever you want inside of that. Use an article to create your links and then copy the html code for the override.
Often I will use a menu module in the footer.
Lots of options.
