I am still operating Joomla 2.5 and will be migrating my site over to Joomla 3.0 as soon as I can devote the time to it. I activated the Kunena extension that automatically populated when I ran all the updates. While it looks like a fine forum, I'm having issues creating a closed, "secure" forum.
My goal is to create a forum for various companies where a person who is interested in joining will fill out a quick form, I'll verify employment at that company, and then give the person access to the forum. I want to keep the the forum itself anonymous, but closed and private among each employee group.
Is Kunena the right platform for this, or are there other forum extensions that are better?
