I am moving my 2.5 site to Windows and also upgrading to 3.3. I'm using Akeeba to move the 2.5.28 site to Windows and all goes well. On the Windows server I have removed all extensions and third-party components so left with the basic Joomla setup and I have taken a backup of the stripped down version of Windows. So far so good the site is up and running under IIS and I have been through system config can't see any problems all directories writable. Under IIS I have tried both cgi and fastcgi get the same result. As soon as I go to Joomla update and run the update it starts unpacking and I get to around 82% and then bad Gateway Error Message.
I have also tried unzipping directly on the server but still get bad Gateway the strange thing is after the bad Gateway message the front end is working but I get 500 internal error trying to access the backend.
I have reset permission is as per the Joomla setup guide for 3.3 ie group iis_iusrs has permission on httpdocs.
Has anyone else got any ideas?
