Extensions for Joomla! 2.5 • Wrapper displays in IE but not other browsers

I got my wrapper to display my content in IE. However, it is not displaying in any other web browsers. I have read that I may need to change included_file.html to included_file.php. The issue is I have no idea where to do that at. It would be extremely helpful if someone can point me in the right direction.
