Is there some particular reason WHY joomla has never incorporated this feature? Why should everyone have to deal with just "Name"? as most people have 2 names, first name and a last name... so why joomla doesn't have that functionality to have "First Name" and "Last Name" on the registration form is beyond me.
This would also make more sense when displaying username, or "first name" as most people would like a choice without having to display their "last name". How hard would it be to break "Name" into 2 separate fields "First Name" and "Last Name" and have that part of core Joomla??
