General Questions/New to Joomla! 3.x • super user logs back in to front end automatically

Firefox and Safari latest browsers



I've searched forums for hours and not found a suitable solution to this:



Logged into back end as Super User, also logged in to Front End as Super User. Then in Back End log out Super User from Front End.

Then log out from back End. Quit Firefox.



Relaunch Firefox and go to same website, and find I am logged in. I know this because there are menu items visible that have access set to Super User. Logging into the Back End confirms this. I realise that if I delete the cookie for that site in the browser this no longer happens.



I would prefer to not have to do this each time I test pages, and would like to STOP session cookies in Joomla being used at all.



I cannot find this possibility in the back end and the only solution I have found in forums is for Joomla 1.0 where it states 'turn off statics in Global Congfig' however in Joomla 3 this does not exist.



I do not wish to do any core hack I merely want to 'turn off' session cookies either completely or user by user.



Anyone feel the same? Have a solution?
