Well, I did all steps you recommended and I still get the error message on the backend welcome screen and also Akeeba is showing the same behavior (maybe its because I also replaced the lib_fof ?) 
. I just found out, that under administrator/modules the mod_akeeba folder is missing. The folder, where usually the backups are stored. So you think together with the commercial support we could solve this issue?
