The one hosting that i recommened everyone is hostgator i have used that to host my image hosting website and these types of website do use lots of resources but my website never slowed down even if i was at their shared plan.
Hostgator has been acquired by some private equity investors so i can say about their current service status you can read some more reviews about that but my experience was positive with them you can also choose bluehost i have heard many good reviews about them.
