Migrating and Upgrading to Joomla! 3.x • Upgrading 2.5.24 to 3.3 Error 1091

I get to 82.6% and then get the following error:

1091 Can't DROP 'usertype'; check that column/key exists SQL=ALTER TABLE `#__users` DROP KEY `usertype`;

Then the site is completely broken and has to be restored from backup.
