General Questions/New to Joomla! 3.x • Rookie Move - index.php problems

I'm Working on content for a client of mine.

I only know enough about the back side of things to get into trouble....obviously. Once this is fixed i will do a back up immediately and never touch this again. PROMISE.

Template is Equinox. I have the site down however the non www still brings you to the messed up site. Not great but you can see what it is doing. http://ift.tt/WtIrdL



I was attempting to link the logo to the home page and after digging for info on how to do this i thought i had it.

I was to go into the index.php and insert a string of code. Did that....it didn't work. Unfortunately I saved and now cannot revert back and it has fried what looks like the entire website. So can you look at the snip of code below and identify what i may be missing?
