General Questions/New to Joomla! 3.x • Re: how to make category articles appear horizontally

Copy the file /components/com_content/views/category/tmpl/blog_children.php to /templates/your-template/html/com_content/category/blog_children.php and change the layout of the subcategories there to be horizontal rather than vertical. Currently, the subcategories are displayed in a list, you should display them in divs.
