General Questions/New to Joomla! 2.5 • Upgrade from 1.7 to 2.5, old users can't log in front end.

I upgrade my version of Joomla! from 1.7.2 to 2.5.24, and now old users can't log in.



If i create new account those users can log in.



Looking at the database, I believe this is being caused by a change is hashing method for the passwords.



I've checked other threads on the issue but they seem to be experiencing the reverse, new users can't log in, old one can.



I've read that first log in with the old password scheme is meant to upgrade you to the new one. This is not happening.



Any advice would be appreciated.
