Something is seriously borked with Ver.3.2 and how it handles templates.
Last April or May I was working on a 3.1 site on cloudaccess that I never finished. I then was building my site on xampp and recently started frest with a 3.2 install and ran into an issue. I was certain something I did was wrong so I ditched the install again not saving any of my work. I wasn't very concerned as its pretty quick to get to where I am, quicker everytime!
So I say screw it since I'm down to the wire with my site with my live site going down Jan 1st I start up a demo at cloudaccess again.
Before changing anything I first installed the JCE editor, phoca gallery (com_phocagallery_v4.0.4), phoca gallery image plugin (mod_phocagallery_image_v4.0.0) and a Google plugin (plugin_googlemap_J25_J3x.v3.1). Everything installed correctly with no issues.
Before anything else I now try to change the background image following the cloudacess video like I did a few months ago and while its different from my xampp install it still wasn't working.
After much reading I find something that states the index.php needs to be changed in the templates folder so I change the line and wouldn't you know bam my image shows up!
WAIT! I then go to change the basics like the color of the nav bar and background I do this under the advanced tab in the template editor, save and my background disappears. Using firefox web inspector I find its now the code I first changed somehow blocking the background. I reupload an untouched index.php and now the background shows up but my nav pill is picking up the background color instead of the template color.
Is 3.2 borked with template control? Should I downgrade to 3.1 that I used without issue a few months ago. At least I don't remember having this issue then.
My fear is if I do develop my site with 3.1 once I need to upgrade this will only happen again being worse due to being live.
Thanks in advance for any help or thoughts.
