Extensions for Joomla! 3.x • Video Projection

I wanted to have videos playing in my site so I downloaded and installed the plugin "All Videos". I tried to follow the user instructions, however it didn't seem to work. Does anyone know how to use this extension? I'm mostly interested in uploading videos from my computer rather than third party material (like YouTube, Vimeo etc). Can I insert somehow videos in pages of my site? If so, aside from the syntax {video provider}video title{/video provider}, as instructed in "All Videos" manual, is there something else I missed so far? Maybe I need to upload first the videos in my Joomla page like I do with photos, but I don't know how.
