I was playing around trying to pull all the necessary files out of my Joomla installation into a separate folder in order to create a modified version of the core Weblinks component. (Needed to add new fields).
Upon attempting to install a the custom component, it seems I missed renaming some parts of the componnent and consequently broke the core Weblinks component. It seems I should have done a backup first, but this is now history....
Now I'm stuck with 2 non-working Weblinks components as after reinstalling the core Weblinks component the New button is missing even for super user. An empty Weblinks component with no New button isn't much use to me at all.
Any idea why this would be?
