But, (yes I had to use the but lol) how can you update a static page?
You can't, I mean you can go into it and edit it (like you edit the text in the html). But for a CMS to update it (manage the content), it has to be dynamic.
You want to use Joomla but you want the pages to be static (virtually impossible). Pages are either dynamic or static.
I would say bring in ads to pay for better hosting.
I'm not sure how much of a developer you are to start messing with the databases to try and conserve.
What plugins are you using, and do you really need them?
