New-window will open the content of the page you direct to in 'read more" in a new screen and Same window" will open in the same tab you use now.
You enter the "relative url -->something like " index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=6" in the url. If this is properly programmed you can search for an article in that box (jQuery or Ajax) by name and it will pull automatically the article link. If not you will need to create a hidden menu and install the extension by NoNumber "Add to menu". This will allow to add within an article creation or edit to add a menu link to the 'hidden menu'. Once the article link is created in the hidden menu you can add that link to the "read More URL" in the Newsbox
